The Village Of Elkhart Lake

The Village of Elkhart Lake, population 967, has a long and colorful history; from gambling and gangsters to racing through the streets.

It has been described as “four square miles surrounded by reality”.

1950 marked the first sports car race around the Village and 1955 saw the first race at world-famous Road America, the National Park Of Speed. For more information on the Historic Race Circuits Society, click here: www.historicracecircuits.com

No other place embraces the automobile quite like this Village; from the annual July race car parade with 20,000 visitors lining the streets to Siebkens’ famous Stop-Inn Tavern filled with racing memorabilia on its walls and ceiling. If this Village had a motto, it would be “Fast And Loud”.

Today, you can challenge yourself to a round of golf at Quit Qui Oc or musky hunting on the crystal clear waters of Elkhart Lake.

Golf addicts can test their skills at nearby Whistling Straits, site of the 2015 PGA Championship and the 2021 Ryder Cup.

Gourmets can shop at the weekly Farmers Market.

The village has many fine dining and casual food establishments, such as The Concourse at the 4 star Osthoff Resort, art galleries, gift shops, a fully stocked wine shop, a luxurious spa and tree-lined streets for an evening stroll.

And there’s always the lake, with a private sand beach reserved just for Village residents.

The Elkhart Lake real estate market is made up of many smaller communities and neighborhoods. Each has its own unique characteristics.

Whether it’s lakefront, village or country living; estates, farms, condominiums or quaint Victorian mansions, there are subtle differences that we help our clients understand and use in making lifestyle decisions.
